St. Joseph Hospital Critical Care Tower, Ann Arbor, Michigan – 3500 Tons
Douglas Steel Fabricating Corporation fabricated and erected 3,500 tons of structural steel and stairs for the new Critical Care Tower at St. Joseph’s Ann Arbor campus. Douglas Steel worked closely with the Christman Company on the 11-story structure. The steel was erected with a tower crane on an extremely tight site between existing wings of the hospital. Douglas Steel was responsible for structural and miscellaneous steel, metal deck and stairs. This addition will add significantly to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital’s presence in the greater Ann Arbor area.
This project was designed by Trinty Design and Ehlert Bryan.
