Michigan’s newest casino is being built along the busy I94 Detroit to Chicago corridor. The Firekeepers Casino in Battle Creek is developed by the Nottawaseppi Band of Huron Potawatomi Tribe. Clark Construction has contracted Douglas Steel to fabricate and erect 1,300 ton of structural steel and miscellaneous iron. The casino porte-cochere entrance way is rolled both ways and the front point of the porte-cochere resembles a bird’s beak. The 252,800 square foot Casino and a precast parking ramp makes up the initial phase of construction. A hotel is planned in a future phase.
