Michigan State University Bio-physical Science Building

East Lansing, Michigan – 3100 Tons

Douglas Steel fabricated and erected 3,100 tons of structural steel and miscellaneous iron for MSU’s new Bio-physical Science Building. This premier 7 story building encompasses more than 350,000 square feet of classrooms, offices and laboratories. Two enclosed pedestrian bridges provide a convenient link with two adjacent classroom buildings. Erection was being performed throughout the winter months to allow the earliest possible spring start for the wet trades. Erection was completed three weeks ahead of schedule.
