Quality Control

Douglas Steel Fabricating Corporation is certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) as both a steel fabricator (Standard for Steel Building Sructures– STD) and erector (Advanced Certified Steel Erector –ACSE), the only one certified in both categories in Michigan and one of only a few in the United States.

Our certifications require an extensive Quality Control Program and demonstrate the commitment by our team to deliver a quality product.

For more than 75 years, AISC has set the standard by which the steel industry is measured. An AISC Certified company has been placed through a rigorous examination to confirm that it has the personnel, organization, experience, procedures, knowledge, equipment, capability and commitment to produce work of the required quality.

What does this mean to you?

  • You get a company who is committed enough to quality to subject themselves to an outside review.
  • You get a company that has been reviewed by an evaluator who has been in literally hundreds of structural steel fabrication plants.
  • And you get a company that is familiar with quality systems and has dedicated the resources to provide quality work.

Your success is contingent on the design, and the execution of the design. AISC certifications ensure that you have qualified professionals on your team.
