James D. Buzzie

Jim Buzzie is the Executive Vice-President of Douglas Steel.  Jim joined the firm in 1991 directly from the Building Construction Management program at Michigan State University.  He previously held the positions of Estimator, Project Manager and Contract & Quality Manager with Douglas Steel.  He is a member of Douglas Steel’s Board of Directors and also serves on the board for the Builders Exchange of Lansing and Central Michigan.

Michael J. Szostak, P.E.

Mike Szostak is the Vice-President responsible for Sales and Business Development for Douglas Steel Fabricating Corporation. He is on the Board of Directors and has managed the sales staff for the past fifteen years. Prior to this position Mike served as Project Manager for eight years.

Mike is a registered Professional Engineer and has been certified as an AWS welding inspector. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Builders Exchange of Lansing and Central Michigan and presently serves on various committees for the Michigan Chapter Associated General Contractors of America, Inc.

Lawrence F. Kruth, P.E.

Larry Kruth is the Vice-President of Engineering, Technology and Safety of Douglas Steel Fabricating Corporation and is a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to his appointment to this position he served for seven years as a Project Manager. With over thirty years of structural engineering experience, Larry is responsible for the management of the engineering department, advancing technology in the company as well as all safety for the shop and field.

Larry is a registered Professional Engineer in the States of Michigan and Pennsylvania. He is Chair of the AISC Safety Committee, a member of the AISC Research Committee, a member of AISC T-6 Connection Design Specification Committee, a member of AISC T-13 Quality Control & Assurance Specification Committee, a member of the Board of Directors of Lansing Safety Council and has been appointed to the MIOSHA Part 26, Structural Steel Erection Advisory Committee and MIOSHA Part 10, Lifting & Digging Advisory Committee.

Michael M. Gleason

Mike Gleason is the Plant Manager of Douglas Steel Fabricating Corporation and on the Board of Directors. He has the overall responsibility for all plant production and personnel. He also manages the materials department. Mike has over 28 years of experience with Douglas Steel. Prior to his appointment to this position he has served as Materials Manager and in the engineering department.

Michael R. Harris

Mike Harris is the Controller of Douglas Steel.  Mike joined the firm in 1981.  He is a member of the Board of Directors.  He has held the positions of Project Manager and Estimator since coming to Douglas Steel.  He has worked in the industry for over 33 years.

David A. Hannah

Dave Hannah is the Field Operations Manager of Douglas Steel.    He is a member of the Board of Directors.  Dave has overall responsibility for all field production and personnel.  He has worked in the past as an Ironworker and Ironworker Foreman supervising projects in our Erection Department.  Dave has over 30 years of experience in structural steel erection.
