Lansing, Michigan – 458 Tons

Working with Clark Construction, Douglas Steel Fabricating Corporation provided steel fabrication and erection for this 35,000 sq.ft. residence hall renovation and addition, including construction of a 15,000 sq.ft. atrium lobby with circular, sloping walls and columns.  Douglas carefully considered this unusual geometry during detailing, fabrication and erection to determine the most efficient construction approach.  Pre-planning paid off:  our innovative erection procedure eliminated the need for shoring, saving both time and money.
